Gurneet Kohli, MD

Dr. Gurneet Kohli completed his medical school in India and then trained in Internal Medicine in New York City. He worked in a rural community clinic in Towanda, PA for Guthrie Clinic right out of residency. There, he promoted preventive care and started 'no patient turned back' policy along with empowering diabetics with their own care. He has family in and around Austin, so he decided to move here after his son was born. He lives with his wife and their two children. He likes to play tennis, soccer, watch movies, kayaking, and mountain biking.

Care Philosophy

"Patients are the captains of their 'Health ship'. A doctor should act as the navigator. My job is to help the patients by giving them all the information they need to make the right decisions about their health. All I need to do is listen carefully to the patient, and understand his/her needs. Simple. I have a special interest in geriatrics, diabetes mellitus, and preventive cardiology."

This holistic approach allows me to address not just the symptoms but the root causes of health issues, leading to more comprehensive and effective care.

As a recent graduate, collaboration is central to my work. Effective healthcare is a team effort.
